Lacunae [Analysis001] Is an ongoing accumulation of AI & GAN Generated Imagery of Female Nipples Scraped from ImageNet and other massive datasets used for training image recognition software.

In the absence of real imagery of the naked female body, which is censored out of the datasets, these are images of the ‘female nipple’ assembled from the collective psychoanalystic fear of the female body. Created out of the medicalised objects used to sanitise and replace it, these images represent a collective psychological repression, while simultaneously remaining part of the hypersexualised spectacle of late capitalism.
